Cable update from the Chief Executive

Due to a mechanical failure of the cable ski system, South West Lakes Trust regrets that we are closing the Wakeboarding Park with immediate effect for the remainder of the 2016 season.
It has been a very difficult decision but due to a number of factors is the only one we can make. The timescale to replace the damaged cable (this could take up to three weeks as parts and engineers will need to come from Germany) will mean that by the time it’s operational again we are likely to be forced to close due to low water levels (mid – late September) based on current predictions.
We feel it would be much more open and honest to all our members to offer you a refund on the remaining term of your membership. We will be in contact with our members individually within the next couple of days to arrange a pro-rata refund on subscriptions paid.
We apologise we have had to take this step, I can assure you that the site team at Siblyback is equally as disappointed. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to get in touch by contacting the centre directly on 01579 346522.

What makes Siblyback Lake Wakeboarding park the best in the South West?

At Siblyback Lake our wakeboarding park benefits from a 5.0 Clockwise Cable system. What is a 5.0 system? unlike many other smaller parks our 5.0 system is a complete circle which allows up to 6 people to use simultaneously. The full size cable measures 150 meters at its longest point and 450 meters in total making Siblyback Lake the biggest cable wake park in the South West. The benefit of the 5.0 Clockwise Cable system is that you can get more rides in a session than any other wake park for the exact same price. Siblyback Wake Park provides a complete 1 hour session of riding in comparison to 2.0 cable systems.

Wakeboarding is the fastest growing water sport in the UK.
