Enjoy a day trip out and discover Bodmin Moor, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), dominated by dramatic granite tors and steeped in Cornish history. A must do on your visit to Bodmin Moor, is Dozmary Pool, according to legend King Arthur rowed out to the Lady of the Lake and received the sword Excalibur here. The outflow from Dozmary runs into Colliford Lake, another lake managed by South West Lakes Trust. Take a short drive from Colliford to Cornwall’s most famous smugglers inn – ‘Jamaica Inn’. Under one hour’s drive are Fowey and the popular Cornish seaside resort of Newquay, alternatively visit the small coastal town of Looe which is only a 25 minute trip from the campsite.
