Camping on Exmoor.

Sleep in comfort and ditch the tent for a cosy night’s stay in one of our two wooden camping pods. Our pods sleep four people comfortably, the ‘Otter’ has four full size bunkbeds and the ‘Kingfisher’ has a double futon with 2 campbeds. Inside the pod there is a table and chairs, shelves, pegs to hang things and lighting and a usb charging hub powered by solar panels on the roof.

Wimbleball Lake is an AA graded 3 star campsite which has also been awarded the Green Tourism gold award. The campsite benefits from two pods, spacious pitches, onsite showers and toilets, washing up area, baby changing room, waste disposal, recycling facilities and is a dog friendly campsite. There’s a choice of hard standings, electric and non-electric pitches for tents, motorhomes and caravans. You can hire a fire pit, purchase wood and charcoal made onsite, rent a telescope and discover why Exmoor National Park is a designated Dark Skies reserve.

Take to the water and explore Wimbleball by kayak, paddle board and canoe. You can launch your own boat, take a lesson or let your kids join one of our activity days or clubs.

Take a day trip out and stock up on food and drink, within easy reach of Wimbleball are the popular towns of Woolacombe and Minehead. Explore Exmoor, walk to Haddon Hill from Wimbleball and see if you can spot the great range of wildlife, such as the iconic Exmoor ponies or deer.

Taking part in the annual 70.3 Iron Man Race at Wimbleball Lake?

Welcome to IronMan camping at Wimbleball 2017!

We’ve been listening to feedback from campers and have implemented the following improvements for your stay:

  • Pitch sizes – we will be offering two different pitch sizes – Premium (8m x 8m) and standard (5.5m x 5.5m), we recommend a standard pitch as being suitable for a 2 or 3 person tent with parking for 1 car. A premium pitch should be suitable in size for a motorhome, or a 4-5 person tent and 1 car. If you have more space requirements than these recommendations, please book more pitches!

We look forward to seeing you in June
