Stithians Lake offers a great day out, on and off the water. Create your own pirate adventure, take to the water on a sailing quest or let your children run freely in our pirate-themed play area. Fill your day with fun and adventure, walk our nature path or bring your bike and cycle off-road. It’s a 4.8 mile circular route that runs adjacent to the lake, spot birds from our hide and discover Stithians Dam, everyone loves watching water cascade down this megastructure! Don’t forget to bring the dog, enjoy a day out with your four-legged friend and become our top dog!

There’s plenty of open spaces to let your children play freely. The Northern cut off and Southern arm of the lake is a designated nature reserve providing a great home to an amazing range of wildlife, download our free activity sheets and see what you will discover. Let your children’s imagination run free, find bugs, spot birds or take to the water and enjoy a canoeing adventure. Enjoy tasty treats from our onsite café, Café Nova serves freshly made cake, light lunches and fantastic hot drinks.

Junior Club:
Saturday mornings :The junior sailing and windsurfing club will be running 10:00-12:00 until the 5 December 2015, we will then be taking a break and starting up again on the 16 January 2016. Sessions are £16 or you can pay £45 membership for the season and then its just £10 per session. Suitable for ages 6-16. Please contact us to book as spaces are limited.

Project Windsurf Sunday’s  13:00 – 16:00
The dedicated souls of Project Windsurf will be out on the water every Sunday afternoon from 13:00 – 16:00. Three hours of coaching on a weekly basis has made learning windsurfing fast, fun, and friendly.  The sessions are aimed at anyone who would like to get out windsurfing with like minded people and get some expert tuition along the way. All abilities catered for,however some previous experience is required, if you are unsure of your level please feel free to call us for a chat or drop us a line on Facebook.  For updates on session times and information please follow our Facebook page or call the Outdoor and Active Centre at Stithians Lake. Set Sail Sunday:
Want to get into sailing? Once again the popular Set Sail Sunday Club will begin in the spring of 2016. The club is open to all existing members and anyone else who would like to improve on their sailing skills. The Set Sail Sunday Club does require all participants to have some basic sailing training but if you are a complete beginner then we can offer a taster session before you join the club. Taster sessions are a great way for you to get an insight into the sport and learn from our fully qualified RYA (royal yachting association) trained instructors in a 2 hour session.

Stithians Lake was built in 1965, it Cornish translation is Lidn Seynt Stedyan. The Northern cut off and southern arm of Stithians Lake is a designated nature reserve. The lake is a popular bird watching site in the South West, an impressive list of common birds include, Buzzards, Kestrels, Coots, Ravens and Little and Great Crested Grebes and Mallards.
