Tamar Lakes Open Day

On 16 May South West Lakes Trust, in association with the Upper Tamar Lake Sailing Club, will be holding a ‘Tamar Lakes Open Day’ to showcase everything this stunning site has to offer and to celebrate 25 years of Tamar Café.

The day, which will run from 10.00am until 4.00pm, will incorporate a variety of activities including; cycling, pedalos, fishing taster sessions, face painting, lawn games, a bbq, gig rowing, model yachts and more!

Why not ‘Push the Boat Out’? As part of the National RYA initiative whether you are a regular sailor, new to the sport or simply want a day out with the family, there’s something for everyone. Upper Tamar Lake Sailing Club will be running pirate boat trip around the lake as part of the RYA initiative and SWLT will be offering taster sessions in Windsurfing. In addition to these sessions, there will also be kayaking tasters and hire of pedalos available for people of all ages!

So, whether you are interested in watersports, fishing, cycling or simply enjoying the views with a delicious cream tea from the café, there really is something for all the family to enjoy, even the dog!
