South West Lakes Trust Celebration Day at Roadford

On Sunday 5 July Westcountry charity South West Lakes Trust will be holding a Celebration Day at Roadford Lake, celebrating 10 years of the Lakeside Function Suite and Visitor Centre.

The Celebration Day, which will run from 11.00am – 5.00pm, will include a variety of exhibitors and activities for the whole family to enjoy. Have a go at a range of activities including sailing, kayaking, canoeing, paddle poarding, water zorbing, high ropes, archery, bushcraft and fishing taster sessions. Face painting will also be available as well as giant games, a bouncy castle, fun sessions with local children’s entertainer ‘Entertainingly Different’, cycle hire (including electric bikes) and much more!

South West Water will be running Dam tours from 11.00am – 4.00pm, music will be provided by Ashwater School Steel Band and Screech Owl Sanctuary will also be at the event with three of their beautiful owls.

Visitors to the site can explore the lake by bike or foot and visit the striking 6m Jubilee Sundial, a unique gift to Her Majesty the Queen from the people of Devon commemorating six decades of Her Majesty’s reign.
