No Spirits Dampened at Stithians Lake Open Day

Despite a very wet, windy and misty weekend visitors to Stithians Lake had a great time at our Open Day on Sunday 17 June.

Over 300 people of all ages braved the elements and took part in a variety of activities, both on and off the water, including; canoeing, kayaking, sailing, windsurfing, paddleboarding, fishing tasters and pond dipping.

For the little ones there was also face painting by Delia from Funny Faces, a bouncy castle, giant games and family fun with Entertainingly Different.

After some fun on the water visitors were able to warm up in the popular Café Lake Central who were kept busy throughout the day serving some of their famous pizzas and delicious treats from the BBQ.

Matt Loughlin, Centre Manager at Stithians Lake, said ‘It was not ideal conditions but despite the liquid sunshine everyone seemed to have a great time. It was fantastic to see so many people enjoying what Stithians has to offer.”
