A Sunny Day for Tamar Lakes’ Annual Push the Boat Out Event

On Saturday 11 May South West Lakes, in association with the Upper Tamar Lake Sailing Club, held their annual  RYA ‘Push the Boat Out’ Day at Tamar Lakes near Bude, showcasing everything this stunning site has to offer.

As part of the National RYA initiative, the sailing club delivered over 80 free of charge sessions to people who were interested in taking up sailing.  Alongside this, South West Lakes provided discounted equipment hire, including kayaking, canoeing and paddleboarding.

The fishing taster sessions and gig rowing also proved extremely popular as did the miniature Ferris wheel and the inflatable slide.

Whether you are interested in watersports, fishing, cycling or simply enjoying the views with a delicious slice of cake from the café, there really is something for all the family to enjoy at Tamar Lakes.

South West Lake’s next event will be the Roadford Lake Open Day on Sunday 26 May. The Open Day, which will run from 10.00am – 4.00pm, will include a variety of local exhibitors and activities for the whole family to enjoy. For more information click here.
