AA 3 Star Family Friendly Campsite in Devon

Roadford Lake is an AA graded 3 star campsite, the site benefits from spacious pitches, dedicated camping shower block, undercover barbeque area, washing up area, washing machine and dryer, baby changing room, waste disposal and recycling facilities. There’s a choice of electric and non-electric pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes as well as a fantastic new bell tent and 5 convenience camping tents.

Treat yourself to a delicious lunch from our onsite café, just across the water. Roadford Lake is a split site, a 10-15 minute walk along our woodland footpath will take you to the café, children’s play area, cycle trails and walking routes from the Roadford Cafe and Venue entrance. Enjoy a day trip out and discover some of our Dartmoor National Park reservoirs, Burrator, Fernworthy, Avon Dam, Kennick, Tottiford and Trenchford. Within easy reach of Roadford are the historic towns of Launceston and Okehampton and some of the best beaches in Devon and Cornwall are less than an hour away.

Camp in our luxury Bell Tent

Take the stress out of camping with this fantastic 5m furnished bell tent for the whole family - ideal for those looking for comfort and style. Sleeps up to 4 with a standard double bed and a small double futon (camp bed available if needed - please state when booking). Bedding is included as well as a gas stove, kettle, saucepan, glasses, mugs, cutlery and crockery.

From just £60 per night. Price includes up to 4 people. Sorry no dogs inside the tent and cars must be parked in the car park.

Please note, there is a 2 night minimum stay for the Bell Tent.

Convenience Camping

Available from 2 August

Bring everything for camping except the tent and camp beds. Enjoy relaxing at the lake without the hassle of putting up your tent first! Price includes a 5m Bell Tent and metal frame camp beds for up to 4 people. Why not visit the activity centre and take part in a variety of watersports or enjoy a walk or cycle and create family memories.

Campers are allowed to use the site and facilities before or after check-in/out. Please ensure you have packed up before 11:00 on the day of departure, you can still use the main car park and enjoy the lakes facilities after packing up.

The large and open campsite, is ideal for families with children, groups of friends and can easily accommodate larger groups such as sailing clubs, scouts and schools. There is plenty of room to play, enjoy picnics and take part in family orientated activities including kayaking, high ropes, archery, fishing and much more.

Please note that for any activities you will need to ensure that you follow the centre’s policies, activities are an additional cost on camping.
